TEHNE:YAT

This series of paintings emerged from when I started working with paper. The range seen here is from 2014 to 2019. I have always been fascinated with lines, structures - they create boundaries for space and hugely impact the way we perceive things.

A part of me is a perfectionist, a minimalist, a person fighting to live a simple life; mentally, emotionally and physically. How do I reduce all the noise? how do I let go of all that is not necessary? how do I access the essence?

Spending the first 8 years of my life in Pakistan added colours, smells and spices to my life; yet growing up in Copenhagen influenced me with Nordic philosophies of simplicity, aesthetics and nature.

One could argue, that nature is not linear; however, the circumference of objects in nature and space, create boundaries and linearity. How do we explore space through boundaries? How do we exist as human beings in a linear structured society?
