Two years ago, I was hiking in the Yorkshire dales with my sister and her boyfriend. As I would sit and take a break, I began to draw figures over a number of pages. These very Giacometti-like skinny 0.4 point pen figures filled the pages, the drawings inspired by the simplicity of these figures. As I went with the flow of my hand and arm, these figures started to reveal themselves. Within these, there was a beautiful set of images emerging that reflected the bond between a mother and child.
