TEHNE:YAT

This series of paintings emerged from a set of 20 pieces when I was working with large canvasses, where the colours, textures and hues occupied a prominent voice in the canvas. Compared to the previous period, immediately after the Jackson Pollock like series, these play even more with the idea of space, and negative space within the canvas.

It was about finding even more breathing space within the canvas. In this series, I am playing with space, colour, shapes and composition; allowing the vibrant hues to reflect and speak for themselves against the backdrop of ever-more expansive space.
